Direct responsibility for the daily receivables, invoicing and Credit Control. To have a close working relationship with Financial Accounting on all accounting processes in support of the Lubricant
1. Control of financial receivable transactions on a day to day basis.2. To monitor and action receivables from customers.3. To open customer accounts and set approved credit limits in the Oracle system.4. To verify that orders placed are within the credit limit set in the Oracle system.5. To prepare customers’ invoices and seek Manager’s approval when credit conflicts arise.6. Responsible to call and request customers to pay outstanding invoice payments.7. Prepare monthly aging reports for the Leader and initiate follow-up action with the Logistics Supervisor.8. To liaise with Bapco Financial Accounting over the payment of due supplier invoices & confirm with Suppliers that payments have been received.9. Responsible for the warehouse Inventory stock control and liaise with the Logistics Supervisor that the monthly Oracle Inventory counts reconciles with the Warehouse physical inventory. This will involve participating in monthly physical verification.10. When required, prepare Material write-offs for obsolete and slow moving products as well as product returns from customers.11. Responsible for initiation of customer Product price change price lists and implementing the new prices in the Invoicing Receivables system.12. To prepare invoices/credit notes to be issued to customers.13. Prepare and distribute executive financial reports to Leader-LBU for review.14. To control Petty Cash facility for the Lubricant Business Unit.
o Minimum qualification – Diploma in Accounting.o 5 years’ experience in accountancy and accounting systems.o Experience in PC and IT such as Oracle.’
