As part of the ongoing commitment to recognise the dedicated efforts of its employees in achieving the aspired goals in conformity with plans and policies of the company, Bapco has recently organised a luncheon to recognise the outstanding efforts of Integrated Management Systems (IMS) Internal Auditors for their valuable contributions throughout 2014 in conducting effective IMS audits and for ensuring Bapco’s ongoing improvements in quality audits. The ceremony was held at the Refinery Cafeteria and was attended by the Deputy Chief Executive (Refining & Marketing) & Chairman of Bapco’s Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Committee Chairman, Mr. Ebrahim Talib. During the ceremony, auditors were thanked and praised by Mr. Talib who hailed their efforts in improving the quality audits in Quality Management System, Operational Excellence, Environmental Management System, Occupational Health & Safety and Process Safety Management. At the end of the ceremony, each internal auditor was presented with an Operational Excellence (OE) Audit lapel pin to demonstrate the company’s appreciation of their dedicated work. Mr. Talib underlined the importance of the quality of internal audits in Bapco’s governance processes as a leading indicator. “Conducting effective internal audits is critical element for continual improvements for all management systems which Bapco subscribes to”, concluded Mr. Talib.
