HRH CP attends IRONMAN 70.3 Middle East Championship and presents trophies to the winners

Under the patronage of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, the closing ceremony of the Middle East Ironman 70.3 Bahrain took place in the presence of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works & Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth & Sports, President of Bahrain Olympic Committee. Upon his arrival, HRH the Crown Prince was received in the ceremony by HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and HH Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa, President of Bahrain Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF) and Vice President of the Supreme Council for the Environment and number of Ministers and officials in the Kingdom.


HRH the Crown Prince then crowned the winners in the men's and women's categories, among whom Sameera Al Baitar and Mohammed Al Ghais who won the women's and men's categories among the Bahrain participants. On this occasion, HRH the Crown Prince hailed Bahrain's continued success in organizing major events, pointing out that the Bahrainis' achievement and high spirit translated the care and interest of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, to the sports & youth sector. HRH the Crown Prince praised the efforts of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa towards empowering the Bahraini youth and valued HH Shaikh Nasser's initiatives which have contributed to developing the triathlon sport in the Kingdom of Bahrain and have allowed the Bahraini triathletes climbing podiums in major events. Additionally, HRH congratulated the winners of the Middle East 70.3 Ironman Bahrain. During the closing ceremony, HH Shaikh Nasser presented a trophy to Bapco which was received by the Deputy Chief Executive Mr. Ebrahim Talib.
