Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco) has signed a Strategic Energy Partnership agreement with Bahrain-based event organisers Hilal Conferences & Exhibitions (HCE) to sponsor the third Gulf Industry Fair.

The sponsorship deal is the second consecutive year that Bapco will support the Fair, which is billed as the most important and comprehensive industry-related exhibition in the northern Gulf. GIF will be held at the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre (BIEC) from January 12 to 14, 2010.

Faisal Al-Mahroos, Acting Chief Executive, Bapco said: “The Gulf Industry Fair 2010 represents an excellent opportunity for companies in the industrial sector of Bahrain’s economy to showcase their specialised products and services at this prestigious annual event.”

Ronnie Middleton, Managing Director, Al Hilal Group, the parent company of HCE, said: “The agreement clearly demonstrates Bapco’s appreciation of the strategic importance of the Gulf Industry Fair to the Kingdom’s development, and adds further prestige to the event.”

GIF covers the industrial segments of aluminium, machine tools, industrial equipment and manufacturing, automation, metal, energy, logistics and metrology.

Mr. Al-Mahroos will also be a keynote speaker at Gulf Industry Forum, to be held alongside GIF at the BIEC on January 12. The Forum boasts an impressive lineup of regional and international business leaders and industrialists.
