More than 150 Bapco employees who have spent their entire working lives with the Company were honoured for their dedication and loyalty on Wednesday, December 30, 2009, at the Bapco Club in Awali.
The annual Long Service Awards ceremony was hosted by Bapco Acting Chief Executive Faisal Al-Mahroos, who presented certificates to employees who had completed either 30, 35, 40 or 45 years of service with Bapco.
Two employees, Essa Jassim Ashoor Hassan from the Oil Storage & Export Department and Mohamed Ghuloom Ali Akbar of the Medical Services Department, were honoured for 45 years’ service to the Company.
Mr. Al-Mahroos paid tribute to the honoured employees, who he said had played a key role in serving Bapco, contributing to its progress and enhancing its national, regional and global presence.
“You have been good companions to Bapco throughout its development and transition from a small limited company to a leading national establishment. Your remarkable and tangible achievements are vivid testimony to the good work you have done and the long experience you have developed with Bapco. You represent the early generation of experience and wisdom which will shine our path in coming years,” he said.
Bapco employs more than 3,200 staff, many of whom have worked for the Company for more than 30 years.
Mr. Al-Mahroos concluded by wishing the honoured employees continued health, happiness and further achievements with Bapco.
